in response to Alyssa's musing about other ED poems on subject of Autumn

I feel that ED's poem #1540-- As imperceptively as Grief-- so perfectly captures ED's feelings about
the ineluctible sense of loss, as Autumn rather surreptitiously usurps summer's dominion.
I love this poem--how she describes the insidiousness of this subtle transformation>
